2022.01.20 07:06 TofuOfu If you download SPT AKI, can you still play online Tarkov? Is SPT AKI in a different launcher or the in the same BSG launcher?

Planning on playing SPT since I started the wipe a bit late which is kind of a disadvantage (and I'm tired of people tryharding and just want to try a casual experience). Also, whenever BSG does a Tarkov maintenance, can you still play SPT?

2022.01.20 07:06 der-viehzuechter Removing HID/Xenon headlights on an SC57 Fireblade

Cheers! My aunt's boyfriend wants to remove the HID kit on his SC57 CBR 1000 RR for legal reasons (Germany). I wrench a lot myself but I have no experience with HID/Xenon kits whatsoever. Do you guys have some advice on what I have to look out for? Thanks a lot! PS: pls don't tell me not to do it, I'm a trained eletrician, just asking for people having experience with HID or Xenon kits.

2022.01.20 07:06 BhenChod247 My bunny thumps in the night

She has a bedroom to herself and sometimes at night she starts thumping. It wakes me up. I have to go and talk to her and then she stops.
I know she's probably bored but what can be done? She has a lot of chew toys. I stopped giving her stuff with cardboard in it a while ago. She used to love that.

2022.01.20 07:06 okoright Stopping Awesome Miner BEFORE it starts mining - by setting a minimum profit for the switcher. Possible? 🤔

Hello, I'm using awesome miner with the auto switcher. I know I can (and I did) run a rule that STOPS the miner if a specific amount of profit per day isn't reachable. However I was wondering if there is a way to stop it from even STARTING mining, unless such minimum amount appears doable (beforehand) - during the profit switcher check. Is that possible somehow? Thanks.

2022.01.20 07:06 vvillehelm I am concerned about the deal between Intel and GRIID

So I recently posted a link to the news that GRIID, a Bitcoin mining company based in Ohio, has inked a deal with Intel to secure their new BZM2 ASICs.
This deal concerns me primarily because it represents the world's largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue coming into the ASIC and mining space with what could be far superior technology that would undermine the efforts of other Bitcoin miners and more widely available ASIC units.
As demonstrated in the article linked below, "GRIID will have access to a significant share of Intel’s future production volumes." - this is the kind of behaviour that represents a centralisation risk in my estimation. What we could be seeing here is the beginning of government control of the hashing power that secures Bitcoin. The reason is that, as the technology becomes more advanced and refined by these institutions, the barrier of entry to creating these units grows inexorably higher.
Ultimately, if it gets to a point where only the largest semiconductor chip manufacturers can create profitable ASIC mining rigs, then there is a single point of regulation and control that can and will be levied upon Bitcoin by the government. One would need a license to obtain these machines, and without that license, one could not be profitable in securing the Bitcoin network.
So I'm putting this to the Bitcoin community. Is this something to be concerned by? How can we respond to this threat, if it is indeed one?

2022.01.20 07:06 lostinthisworld007 A story of my friend (we're no longer friends unfortunately)

Just had to get this off my chest so others can learn from this.
I used to have a friend who left Islam and often struggled at what the religion had done to him. He always used to say that it had restricted him from many opportunities and he always felt guilty because he was a sinner. Talking to non-muslims (sin), listening to music (sin), not donating to the mosque (sin), masturbating (sin), sex (sin), alcohol and dancing (sin). He often joked that breathing was a sin (not sure if this was a suicide reference but I was too young to understand).
He was definitely a free spirit like me but I didn't realise how much he was struggling. As I was still pretending to be a muslim I tried to distance myself and he grew dependant on alcohol. It consumed him and he ended up damaging his organs which was really sad. I even went to the pub with him to try give him company because I could see how much he was struggling at the cost of my own reputation within the Ummah.
But the thing I couldn't understand was that he would go to a mosque during prayer times and cause a nuisance. It was like he couldn't get over this deep hatred of what Islam had taken away from. I tried explaining this hatred wasn't healthy and would turn into mental illness if he didn't stop.
I wasn't able to help him because I was going through my own struggles and often think at what I could have done differently. Knowing what I know now, I wish I could go back in time because I have learned many tools that I could share with him.
I hope you are doing well, maybe we could be friends in another life.

i thought you didn't care, but its just that you dont communicate with me the way you should. i'm happy knowing i have a chance now to show you nothing has changed and why its you. i really thought i was the shy one but i guess its the other way around, i had a very long conversation tonight and i'm thankful beyond words for it. we were compared to mirrors tonight reflecting the exact same thoughts away from each other, i guess kind of like two pieces of glass refracting in an opposite direction when they share the same glow.

2022.01.20 07:06 AdRepresentative7600 Identifying Stakeholders of Bechtel Corporation

Introduction Bechtel Corporation is a construction giant. As such, it affects many towns and cities where it operates. Depending on the location, various stakeholders and interested parties may be or affected by the process. Identification and analysis of stakeholder groups the in construction industry is paramount. The corporation must understand their stakeholders, as well as their roles, needs, and interests. Without the involvement of key stakeholders, a construction venture will not be successful. The purpose of this paper is identifying key stakeholders of Bechtel Corporation, underlining their roles, and analyzing their potential in terms of power, influence, interest, and impact. Contractors The first stakeholder group is comprised of contractors. This includes the management team, supervisors, the finance team, architects, engineers, and various project managers. These stakeholders set the deadlines and provide guidance and control throughout the various stages of the project (Khosrowshahi & Arayici, 2012). In terms of power, influence, interest, and impact, these stakeholders have the highest potential and are essentially the driving force behind projects in Bechtel Corporation. These are internal stakeholders that fill the company’s roster and have a permanent presence within the company. Type of stockholder according to Salience Model: Dominant. Employees and Subcontractors This group of stakeholders involves Bechtel’s low-ranking employees and various subcontractors hired on a contract basis to provide specialized expert support to the project (Khosrowshahi & Arayici, 2012). These subcontractors include plumbers, electricians, machine operators, transportation subcontractors, construction workers and various other groups involved in the project. While these groups have only moderate-low amounts of authority within the organization due to the fact they have to follow the instruction of the contractors, their influence, interest, and impact values are high, as their work is vital to the project. Type of stockholder according to Salience Model: Definitive. Clients For Bechtel Corporation, clients are stakeholders that either employ the company’s construction services or purchase living or commercial space built and owned by the company (Khosrowshahi & Arayici, 2012). They are the primary source of income for the company, and as such, are very important. Depending on the type of clients, their levels of control over the project may vary. For example, clients that employ the services of Bechtel Corporation to build their own facilities are automatically moved to Contractors in terms of power, as they have the final say about the project’s timelines, scope and size, purpose, etcetera. However, clients who are purchasing apartments in an already constructed apartment block have low power and influence scores, as they do not have any direct power and influence on the project. However, their interest and impact are rated moderate-high. Type of stockholder according to Salience Model: Definitive. Government Any venture in construction requires high levels of operations with governmental facilities that provide the necessary documentation, inspection, and permissions to perform construction work on a site (Khosrowshahi & Arayici, 2012). In addition, the government takes issue with any legal matters pertaining construction and has the possibility to slow down or even shut down all construction processes severely should any necessary regulations would not meet approval. As such, the government agencies’ power and interest are rated high, whereas their impact and influence are rated moderate since they do not directly involve themselves in construction processes and are not interested in purchasing any property. Type of stockholder according to Salience Model: Definitive. Community This stakeholder group involves everyone living in an area surrounding the construction site or the company HQ. As such, they have different views regarding the project. While some would welcome the construction of a new trade center or an apartment block, others would be against it due to inconveniences associated with construction work (Khosrowshahi & Arayici, 2012). Typically, communities act passively towards the performance of construction companies unless the company breaks a law of some sort, or if inconveniences become too great to ignore. This stakeholder group is rated low for power, low for influence, moderate-low for interest, and moderate-low for impact. Type of stockholder according to Salience Model: Dormant. Reference Khosrowshahi, F., & Arayici, Y. (2012). Roadmap for implementation of BIM in the UK construction industry. Engineering, Construction, and Architectural Management, 19(6), 610-635.
